Activity description

At 1700m, Beware of the Bear is one of Europe's longest one-piece ziplines. Under the right wind conditions, you'll reach speeds of up to 120km/h as you zip 80m above the earth. It really does feel like flying.

The zipline is in Rudopolje-Vrhovine, 44km by road west of Plitvice Lakes National Park's Entrance 1. You'll need your own car to get here (find us on google maps).

The Zipline Pazi Medo, which means "Beware of the Bear", runs through untouched forests and offers an ideal combination of adrenaline and nature. With rapid speeds, you glide directly over the trees and have a unique view of the beautiful landscape of the Lika region.

Meeting point

We meet at our base in Rudopolje, where you can park your cars and check in at the reception.

Preparation

On-site, you will get to know your guides and receive the necessary equipment. Afterwards, we drive to the starting point of the zip line with our cars, which we reach after a 10 minute ride.

Tour

Once you reach the top, our starting platform offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding villages of Plitvice and Sjeverni Velebit, as well as the Gacka River. After a safety briefing by your guide, you are ready for a speedy ride. You will be suspended horizontally and belly down on the zip line and the fun begins. With speeds up to 120 km/h you glide over the treetops until you reach the base, where a guide waits and detaches you from the zip line.

Arrival

The endpoint is directly at our base, where you also parked your cars. You are welcome to stay around after your experience and spend some time in the middle of nature.

Zipline ˝Beware of the bear˝ has the right to cancel the ride, due to bad weather conditions or due to a lack of reservations on a certain day. In that case, we contact you at least one day ahead.
